Three — day tour allows you to get the maximum impression for a visa-free period of stay in St. Petersburg. All three days, a private guide and personal driver will accompany you on exciting adventures around the Cultural Capital of Russia.

The tour starts in the port, where the guide meets and takes you to the tour of the city with a visit to the most famous cathedrals — St. Isaac’s and Savior on the Spilled Blood. Feel like a Petersburg inhabitant when walking in the local farmers market where ordinary people buy things.

Then you have lunch at one of the best restaurants in the city.  It is a very important moment because after that you go to the Hermitage, the most popular museum in Europe according to Tripadviser.

Of the 6 buildings in the museum complex, five — namely the Winter Palace, Small Hermitage, Old Hermitage, New Hermitage, and Hermitage Theatre — are open to the public.

You can appreciate the beauty of world masterpieces — works by Da Vinci, Rembrandt, and Picasso, only a small part of the entire splendor of the Hermitage collections. After the tour, you return to your ship to rest, but the adventures of the first day are not over there.

Petersburg is famous for its drawbridges. And the best place to watch this phenomenon right under the wings of the bridge is on the Neva. By midnight, your driver will take you in the port and bring to the embankment for a night stroll.

You will have a fascinating excursion on the rivers and channels during which you will float under the raising bridges surrounded by night illumination of Petersburg.

The second day starts with a visit to the Catherine Palace in Tsarskoye Selo. That is where the famous Amber Room is. Country royal residences tend to have luxurious parks, and the Catherine Palace is no exception.

The Amber Room is a reconstructed chamber decorated in amber panels backed with gold leaf and mirrors. Constructed in the 18th century in Prussia, the original Amber Room was dismantled and eventually disappeared during the Second World War.

The guide will take you on a tour of the halls of the palace, preserved the luxurious interiors of the past centuries, and after that, you will take a walk through the Park, famous for its impressive landscapes, the building of Hermitage, and a real Turkish bath.

Before going for a refreshing and charming walk along the rivers and canals of the historical center, you should have lunch on a boat, and the guide will offer you a new top-rated restaurant, where eating turns into unique and impressive experience. After the walk, you will go to the very heart of the city — the Peter and Paul Fortress, where Peter the Great founded the city. After the guided tour of Petropavlovsky Cathedral, which has been the highest building in the historical center of the city for 300 years already, the driver will take you back to the port.

One of the mottos of St. Petersburg — Palaces are never enough. Therefore, the third day begins with a visit to Peterhof — the Russian Versailles, world famous for its fountains. The path to this side goes through the most beautiful metro stations, constructed in the style of the Stalinist Empire, with impressively decorated interiors, keeping many secrets that our guide will tell you.

At the centre of the Grande Cascade is an artificial grotto with two stories, faced inside and out with a hewn brownstone. It currently contains a modest museum of the fountains’ history.

You will go back to Petersburg by Hydrofoil, crossing the Gulf of Finland at a speed of 65 km/h, and step ashore directly opposite the Winter Palace.

From here your personal driver takes you to the Moika River embankment, to the Palace belonged to the Yusupovs, one of the richest families in Tsarist Russia.  Grigory Rasputin was killed there. And your guide will take you through the interiors of the palace and tell all the details of that complicated story.

After the visit to the Yusupov’s  Palace, the driver takes you back to the port.

  1. :

The three-day tour was without a doubt one of my best travel experiences. Our guide Olga was excellent. Her vast knowledge of history, art and architecture added unexpected dimensions to our already well-executed route. We were surprised that despite the short notice, just 7 days before our arrival, we able to book everything we wanted to see — Hermitage, Peterhof Palace, Catherine Palace, Fabergé Museum, Church of the Spilled Blood and so on. The tour was custom made for us and our desires. The PetersburgExpert team took care of our attraction tickets and sightseeing needs. I will recommend you to anyone in need of the outstanding tour guide.
